Our History

On September 11, 2011, the vision for planting a new church in the Wallburg/Ledford community of northern Davidson county, became a reality. Connection Church began meeting at Ledford Middle School and later moved to Ledford High School, on August 4, 2013.

On February 1, 2015, the name of the church was changed to HopeCity as an opportunity to further communicate to our community the hope that Jesus provides. Also in 2015, construction of the church’s first permanent location began and the first services at HopeCity Wallburg took place on March 20, 2016.

Under the direction of Pastor Scott Newton and a team of exceptional leaders, HopeCity is a place “where people are being set free”. We are a group of people who long to experience the presence of God and consider it an honor to see the Holy Spirit impacting our communities by His love and goodness.
