This group will be led by Anna Cromer, a fellow attendee at HopeCity. Anna has a MEd in Special Education and has taught children with special needs of all ages and abilities in both public and private school settings. Both Anna and her husband Matt volunteered as one on one buddies at their previous church in Raleigh. Every other week, they each assisted a child with a special need in a preschool/elementary Sunday school class. Anna and Matt have 2 children, 9 and 4. Their 9 year old daughter was diagnosed with ADHD and processing disorders when she was in first grade. Last year, after listening to the Hearing the Voice of the Father series, Anna felt a calling to begin a Special Needs support group at HopeCity.
This group is open to parents and caregivers of children with any type of special needs. The purpose of the group is to offer support and resources to one another in a loving and caring environment. The group will also be looking into the small group study book “Special Needs Parenting: from Coping to Thriving” by Lorna Bradley.
This group will meet monthly, on the 3rd Thursday of each month.
