On Sunday, August 26, rising Kindergarteners and up will move up to their next grade level class. Rising kindergarteners will move to Uptown (Elementary) and all other elementary small groups will move to their next elementary small group class. Our rising 6th graders can start attending HopeCity Student events. Open House is a night filled with energy, excitement, and awareness. Students and parents are given the opportunity to hear and feel the vision and culture of HopeCity students. Familiarity and a family feel are created while students and parents meet and converse with small group leaders, staff, and student leadership. Our core elements will be present: worship, creativity, small groups, teaching and mobile culture (outreach).

If you are not signed up for our classes beginning this Sunday evening, join us at First Wesleyan Church in High Point at 6 p.m. for a night of worship led by HopeCity Music. There will be an update on Wilmington and and inspiring word shared by Pastor Matt Smith of Vintage church. To benefit the recent hurricane victims, please bring donations and supplies. Specific needs include blankets, mats/cots, towels, baby and personal wipes, depends, diapers, toothbrushes and toothpaste.
We are organizing a group of 30 volunteers to work in the garden at West End Ministries on September 29 beginning at Noon. All that week, other triad churches will be preparing the garden for fall planting and by Saturday we hope to be ready for the planting. The Emotional Sobriety Group through Alcoholics Anonymous meets at HopeCity weekly and is led by Richard Johnston. If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction, the group meets Fridays at 7 p.m. The group is a safe place for those seeking support and comfort.
