HopeCity Students regularly represents a culture of its own; a Kingdom culture if you will. In God’s Kingdom, people recognize who they are and what they were created for; pain and brokenness have no place there and the stresses and tragedies of life are non-existent.
We have experienced a literal touch of heaven on earth in the times that we have met together. We feel that it is time to take what we have experienced and learned to help other people know the Father’s heart for them. It is time to fulfill Christ’s commission and teach others about, “on earth as it is in heaven.”
On July 16-26, 2018 we will partner with 127hometours to do just that. We will be taking a team of people from the triad to minister to the teens and children of Florida Sherriff’s Youth Homes, in both Live Oak and St. Petersburg, FL. Children in these homes have been displaced due to deceased or unfit parents. Ninety percent of these kids have been virtually untouched by the gospel, until now.
The team will provide a full experience of worship, teaching and community through organized services, prayer times and encounter groups. Through days of community and the Father’s love, we have high expectations of what it going to break out.
The cost of the trip is $550 and all applications are due by February 21, 2018. Short Term Missions Application
The vision of the 127 home tour is to bring hope and encouragement to the lives of students and children who need it. while many of the teenagers and children who reside at the children’s homes are not technically “orphans,” they are in life experiences that need the rescue of Jesus over their life and days. There due to the incarceration of their parents, poverty, abuse (physical and other) gross neglect, even some who have been rescued from sex trafficking, our hope is to be another voice, partnering with their administrators and “house parents” declaring the rescue and redemption Jesus brings.
