HopeCity Disability Ministry is designed to accommodate any one at any age so they may know the love of Jesus and our community.

One of the ways we strive to accommodate is through our Buddy Program. We offer support for children who need accommodations in HopeCity Kids Ministry on Sundays and teens in HopeCity Student Ministry on Wednesdays. We are devoted to ACCEPT everyone the way God made them, ENCOURAGE spiritual growth, GIVE opportunities to serve, and SUPPORT families of all abilities within the body of Christ.

In our Buddy Program we offer support to any student who needs it, so they will have the opportunity to learn about Jesus in a way that is best for their bodies and minds. We desire to offer true inclusivity and that begins with knowing about each student's unique needs.

We understand disabilities are not always visible and different environments can be difficult on the senses.

With that in mind, we have  sensory bags and ear protection available to anyone (no matter your age) that needs them.

They contain fidgets, ear plugs, coloring/writing utensils, and a service rundown that includes an order of events, sensory icons to indicate the use loud sounds and bright lights, a notes page and an adult coloring page. We also use a specific font for anyone who is dyslexic.

The bags are located in the atrium, across from the worship center.
